Heidi is a Registered Dietitian from the Greater Pittsburgh, PA region. She found her passion for nutrition while attending college as an Exercise Science major. She decided to merge the two and become a dual major in both Exercise Science and Nutrition-Dietetics. Heidi obtained her BS in Nutrition-Dietetics and Exercise Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2017. She then worked as a nutrition educator for a couple of years before pursuing her Masters in Clinical Nutrition/Dietetic Internship from the University at Buffalo. She is most interested in how nutrition affects mental health and diabetes. Currently, she is working on her diabetes education hours to be able to be obtain a certificate as a certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES). She excels in providing nutrition to veterans, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, and camping. Her goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon by the time she is 30. Her favorite plant-based snack is homemade guacamole with blue corn chips.
