Marisela Gomez Raffo
Marisela completed her BS in Nutrition and Dietetics at The University of Alabama and her dietetic internship at Illinois State University. As a middle school student, she became interested in nutrition when learning about macronutrients in science class. She pursued nutrition as a hobby for several years, and in 2018 she made the decision to officially become a Registered Dietitian. Marisela enjoys learning all about how to fuel the body for better health and performance: In 2022 she ran her first half-marathon and is currently training for another race.
Born in Chile, Marisela is fluent in Spanish.
She currently resides on the island of O’ahu, Hawai’i with her active-duty military husband and their dog, Jack. Marisela has a previous BA degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies and loves to watch the latest films and TV shows. Her current favorite movie is Everything, Everywhere All At once.
Marisela also enjoys hiking with her dog, riding bicycles at the beach, and trying new foods. Her favorite plant-based meals are ramen noodles with veggies and tofu, and falafel wraps. packed with veggies and hummus.
