Melanie Vickery
Melanie is a Registered Dietitian whose career path originally started as a zookeeper and working at veterinary hospitals. She eventually decided to pursue her passion in human nutrition. She earned two Bachelor’s degrees at Central Michigan University in Biology and Dietetics, then concurrently completed her dietetic internship and Masters degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She gained experience at one of the top 3 rehabilitation facilities in the country, the NASA Johnson Space Center, the local food bank, and diabetes outpatient clinics ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
In her spare time she enjoys doing anything that involves the outdoors whether it’s camping, hiking, kayaking, or scuba diving, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
With a diverse family background, she enjoys cooking old family recipes and creating her own along the way. Her favorite food is plant-based Gouda!
